Plano ISD Education Foundation Profile
Our Mission
The Plano ISD Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to help all students in the Plano Independent School District achieve their full potential by providing financial support to educators and academic programs.
Our History
Since 1993, the Foundation has generated over $23 million in private support for priority projects for which tax dollars are not available. The Foundation's commitment to support quality education for Plano ISD students remains strong. We continue to identify and fund needed programs and work to increase community and corporate involvement in support of our schools. We currently partner with 40+ businesses and organizations in the North Texas region.
Who We Serve
The Foundation creates a vibrant coalition of community, educators, and local corporations to raise funds through tax-deductible contributions. The funds support academic programs to achieve excellence in science and math, to bridge the gap for economically disadvantaged students, and provide educator grants to create innovative teaching programs.
With more than $24 million invested since our founding, the Foundation continues to build a legacy of academic excellence — made possible by the generosity of our community and corporate partners. Together, we’re empowering students, inspiring educators, and strengthening the future of Plano ISD.
Thanks to our donors and sponsors, the Foundation funds a variety of impactful programs, including:
-
The Plano ISD Welcome & Enrollment Center – Provides wrap-around services such as free immunizations, a clothing closet, food pantry, and more for Plano ISD families in need.
-
Health Science Pathways – Equips students for in-demand healthcare careers with current training and technology.
-
Grants to Educators – Awards more than $150,000 annually to support innovative and engaging classroom projects.
-
The CORE Store – Offers free essential school supplies to Plano ISD teachers, ensuring classrooms are well-equipped.
-
5th Grade Science Camp Scholarships – Gives students the opportunity to experience outdoor learning without financial barriers.
-
The Wildcat Collegiate Academy – Covers tuition for students to earn both a high school diploma and an associate degree within four years.
As the needs of our district evolve, your support is more vital than ever. We invite you to become a sponsor and make a meaningful impact on Plano ISD students and educators.
